Hey there! My name is Mike Qu and I'm an AI/ML Researcher and Engineer currently based in New York. I am wrapping up a Master's in Computer Science at Columbia University specializing in Machine Learning. Previously, I earned combined B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCLA, focusing on Signals and Systems.

I’ve conducted research on noise-robust speech enhancement with Dr. Julia Hirschberg (Columbia), RAG document intelligence and tabular data synthesis with Dr. Yingzhen Li (Imperial College London), and non-invasive brain–machine interfaces with Dr. Jonathan Kao (UCLA).

Professionally, I interned twice at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where I worked on optimizing latency and memory performance on Echo Devices.
